Reducing Jewish Poverty
The Challenge:
The increased demands on emergency assistance were so great that the available funds were depleted by mid-year.

Providing Quality Lives for Seniors
The Challenge:
Vital senior service requests have been increased by over 25% since 2008.

Increasing Access to Jewish Life
The Challenge:
One third of those who need assistance cannot access cultural, educational and other Jewish life opportunities.

Your gift goes to agencies and programs that work to improve the lives of Jews in Cincinnati, in Israel and around the world.

Local agencies include:

  • Cincinnati Hebrew Day School: An Orthodox school that offers students in preschool through eighth grade quality instruction in both secular and Judaic studies, designed to emphasize scholastic achievement, strong moral character and a commitment to Jewish identity and religious observance
  • Hillel Jewish Student Center: A gathering place that strives to help students and young professionals in greater Cincinnati find their identities socially, intellectually and spiritually and deepen their connection to Jewish identity and community 
  • Jewish Family Service: Offers free kosher food, emergency financial assistance, case management, aging and caregiver services, family life education and adoption services to individuals in the greater Cincinnati Jewish community 
  • Jewish Vocational Service: Empowers individuals with developmental disabilities to learn work skills and participate in social activities and provides career development and placement services for job-seekers and employers 
  • Mayerson JCC: Provides cultural, social, educational and recreational programs and a place where the Jewish and general communities of greater Cincinnati can come together to learn, share and celebrate 
  • Rockwern Academy: Integrates Jewish values, history, literacy and culture into a rich general and Judaic curriculum for students in preschool through eighth grade
