On January 21, 2012, Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren spoke for approximately 30 minutes about Israel's challenges and successes in an environment of uncertainty and then took questions--whose topics ranged from the greatest threat to Israel's security to the lack of positive press about Israel in the United States to cyber-terrorist attacks--from the audience. Yair Cohen, Community Shaliach (Emissary from Israel)
Yair Cohen’s mission is to bring Israel to Cincinnati and Cincinnati to Israel through education and advocacy, including the new Israel Up to the Minute program, a series of casual monthly briefings on current "hot button" issues in Israel, the first of which will address women in the public sphere in the IDF and Israel.

Just over a week ago, the Israeli ambassador to the U.S. visited Cincinnati. No one who attended could have been unaffected by the uplifting atmosphere of the evening. The night was great! The ambassador interested us not only with his remarks but also with his marvelous personality. Read more
