About the Festival

The Israeli Film Festival of Cincinnati is a celebration of Israeli culture, with the aim of enriching the American vision of Israeli culture and society through film.

It is our goal to be both entertaining and informative. Our program includes feature films, dramas, comedies and documentaries that are award-winning and have received wide recognition both in Israel and abroad.

The Film Festival is organized and supported by The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. As a non-profit organization, the continuing success of the Israeli Film Festival is due, in large part, to support from various organizations. sponsors and private donors. The Israel Film Festival is funded in part through ticket sales, personal and corporate contributions, as well as in-kind contributions.

We would like to thank this year's festival co-chairs Phyllis Binik-Thomas and Mark Mayer who through their tremendous hard work have helped to make this festival possible.

This year, the Israeli Film Festival is in honor of Israel's 60th Year of Independence.  The closing event on October 21, 2007 will kick-off a year-long celebration of Israel@60 community events, chaired by Tamara Harkavey, Kim Heiman, and Leslie Newman.

For more information about Israel@60 Events, please contact Barbara Miller or Amir Yarchi.
