My Family On Call was created to provide care and support for Jewish families from all over the world who find themselves temporarily in Cincinnati while a family member is undergoing treatment at Cincinnnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
The program reaches out to community members during what can be an extremely emotional, frightening and lonely chapter of their lives, connecting them with volunteers who serve as friends,
community ambassadors, and extended family.
My Family On Call volunteers:
- Invite visiting families to
dinner
- Visit families at the hospital
- Bring challah, care
packages or meals
to the family;
coordinate play
dates for “well”
children traveling
with family
- Act as a community
concierge, answering
questions and taking
visiting families to
local venues such as
the zoo, parks, etc.;
- Provide emotional support.
Every women who would like to help provide care for visiting families who need support.
