My Family On Call was created to provide care and support for Jewish families from all over the world who find themselves temporarily in Cincinnati while a family member is undergoing treatment at Cincinnnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

The program reaches out to community members during what can be an extremely emotional, frightening and lonely chapter of their lives, connecting them with volunteers who serve as friends,
community ambassadors, and extended family.

My Family On Call volunteers:

- Invite visiting families to
  dinner

- Visit families at the hospital

- Bring challah, care
  packages or meals
  to the family;
  coordinate play
  dates for “well”
  children traveling
  with family

- Act as a community
  concierge, answering
  questions and taking
  visiting families to
  local venues such as
  the zoo, parks, etc.;

- Provide emotional support.
