Where Your Money Goes

In November, the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati Board voted to allocate just over $4 million in funds raised through the 2012 Community Campaign to local, national and global programs.

This year’s allocations process aligned with Cincinnati 2020, the long-range, community-wide strategic plan to transform Cincinnati into a model community and a Jewish destination. Local programs that applied for funding were divided into Cincinnati 2020’s three pillars.

  • Caring: Reducing poverty and isolation by meeting people's basic needs for food, shelter, security, clothing and sustained employment
  • Connecting: Creating an engaged community by helping members of our community find personally meaningful opportunities to engage
  • Discovering: Assuring our Jewish future by providing our community members with a strong, positive Jewish identity and education

Funds were also allocated to programs in Israel and overseas.
