The many faces of Israel are imagined—and reimagined—in this unique, one-of-a-kind Re-Art Exhibition. Ten artists from Netanya and Cincinnati have taken each other’s works of art, each of which reflects the artist’s personal understanding of and connection to Israel; then by re-envisioning or augmenting each piece, the artists have explored their own relationships with Israel as it relates to another’s piece. Together their 70 joint pieces represent the “70 Faces” of Israel. The multi-dimensional results speak profoundly not just about the collaboration between artists living on two different continents but the relationship between two interconnected groups of people.
Light refreshments will be served. Exhibition continues through January 7, 2017.
The exhibition is a Partnership2Gether (P2G) program of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati in partnership with the Cincinnati Skirball Museum in celebration of Israel at 70.
