Free Speech. Hate Speech. Who decides?
Join your Jewish Community Relations Council on April 2 for this year’s Annual Meeting. We will dive into debate over “The Dialogue Dilemma,” featuring a panel discussion on the fine line between free speech and hate speech and how that impacts campus life and beyond.
Your JCRC continues to make a positive difference in the community. That means responding to acts of antisemitism, preparing our teens and young adults for the road ahead, and advocating across political divides—all through programming, education, and cooperation.
We are excited to welcome Amanda Berman, Civil Rights Attorney & Founder and Executive Director of Zioness, as our featured panelist. Berman (she/her) works to empower and activate Zionists on the progressive left to stand proudly in social justice spaces. She is also worked to fight antisemitism legally—spearheading several groundbreaking initiatives. Berman will be joined by Ronit Sherwin, Campus Support Director for Hillel International and Jake Powers, President of Bearcats for Israel at the University of Cincinnati.
The Jewish Community Relations Council, the public affairs arm of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, is dedicated to strengthening Jewish well-being by advocating for a just and equitable society for all.
