Kickin’ for a Cause is a one-day kickball tournament. It's a way for young adults living in Cincinnati to contribute to a worthy cause: to promote awareness and address childhood poverty in Cincinnati—which has one of the highest child poverty rates in the country.
- In 2014, 44.3 percent of Cincinnati’s children lived in poverty
- Cincinnati’s rate is more than double the national rate of 21.7 percent and nearly double the state rate of 22.9 percent
Proceeds will be given to organizations that are tackling the issue of child poverty, including The Reds Community Fund which benefits the Reds Urban Youth Academy; needs-based subsidies for Mayerson JCC youth programming; and Jewish Family Service Bigs & Littles.
Join the YAD team or join your friends and help kick out child poverty today!
- If you can’t attend, help us meet our fundraising goal of $5,000 by making a donation today.
- Volunteers are also needed. If you’re interested in volunteering, or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Jeff Blumental at 513-985-1513 or jblumental@jfedcin.org.
