Part of the 2016 -2017 Lichter Lecture Series, To Make a Long Story....: Messaging the Medium in Jewish Culture, which will be considering the impact of multiple platforms currently available for storytelling on the long tradition of Jewish narratives. Elaine Reichek is a New York based visual artist born in 1943 known for her work in fabrics. In 1993 the Jewish Museum commissioned Elaine Reichek to create an installation that explored her personal identity and the exhibit was recommissioned and updated by the museum in 2013.
