The wind and the rain at the window sing from the narrator’s throat, and the train that traverses the Jezreel valley goes out of Eden to encompass the whole land of Havilah. Pictures/Reproductions תמונות/רפרודוקציות is Haim O. Rechnitzer’s third poetry book and his first bilingual one. In Pictures / Reproductions, the demarcations that exist between animate and inanimate, the present and our memories, and even space and time, become a playground for the reader’s imagination. All the poems in this book were collaboratively translated from Hebrew to English with Haim's wife, Claire. Rabbi Haim Rechnitzer, Ph.D is the Professor of Modern Jewish Thought on the HUC-JIR Cincinnati campus.
