TIMELESS ECHOES: Exploring the History of Sino-Jewish Relations in the USA

Professor GARY P. ZOLA, the Edward M. Ackerman Family Distinguished Professor of the American Jewish Experience at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati and the Executive Director of the Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives will speak about THE HISTORY OF SINO-JEWISH RELATIONS IN AMERICA.

 

Following Dr. Zola's presentation, there will be an interactive conversation on THE ENTWINING OF TENSIONS AND COMMON INTERESTS AMONG ETHNIC AND CULTURAL GROUPS IN AMERICAN HISTORY AND TODAY.Discussants will be Mr. Alan Spears of the National Parks Conservation Association who has written thoughtfully on public monuments as issues of civil rights, and Ms. Carolyn Chan, past national president of Chinese American Citizens Alliance, whose life and experiences in Mississippi during the Jim Crow era will provide insights on interracial relationships.
