Join the Consulate General of Israel in New York and author David Goldstein for a conversation with a panel of Israeli-American basketball legends as they discuss the impact of the pandemic on the game we love. They will share the fascinating phenomenon of African-American hoopsters travelling to play and live in Israel.

In the past 40 years, more than 900 such players have made the journey, with many falling in love with the country and returning year after year, and some even marrying Israeli women, becoming citizens, serving in the military, and staying permanently. The panelists will provide a totally unique perspective on the State of Israel, and will explore their own experiences there, not only on the basketball court but also by delving into emotion-laden issues of race, religion, identity, and politics.
