Watching Orange is the New Black from the comfort of their couch is about as close as most people will ever get to the prison experience. But now, Access presents an unparalleled opportunity to engage in an interactive conversation via Skype with men currently incarcerated at the Marion Correctional Institution. Learn about their daily lives and hear their stories about race dynamics and the other challenges they face in prison in this powerful program facilitated by renowned TedX speaker and Access’ new Event Coordinator and Social Change Manager, Jordan Edelheit. The program will take place at the state-of-the-art video conferencing center at the American Jewish Archives. After the Skype session, Rabbi Miriam Terlinchamp, the young Head Rabbi at Temple Sholom, and former prison chaplain, will lead a lively discussion on “Faith and Incarceration” over lunch.
