Guest Speaker Mohammed Al Samawi

Born in Sana'a, Yemen, Mohammed grew up as a practicing Muslin, and was raised to think Jews as his enemy.  He has since become a champion of Muslin-Jewish dialogue.  Hear about the current humanitarian situation in Yemen and learn the harrowing tale of Mohammed's escape from his apartment building, which was surrounded by extremists, to his safe arrival in the U.S., with the assistance of AJC and others.

Mohammed's story has been made into a riveting book, The Fox Hunt, and is also in development at Fox 2000 PIctures, with Marc Platt Productions (La La Land, Bridge of Spies) producing, and Josh Singer (Oscar-winning screenwriter of Spotlight) adapting for the screen.

Join AJC and Mohammed for both a very personal story and a broader discussion on protecting the human rights of religious minorities worldwide.
