Your vote counts. It is election season in Ohio and the nation’s eyes are on Hamilton County. On Wednesday, November 2, at the Mayerson JCC, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), part of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, and AJC Cincinnati (American Jewish Committee) invite you to an evening of community learning and engagement with political candidates and representatives from the two major presidential campaigns. The event will feature a local and state candidate meet-and-greet at 6:30 p.m., followed by “Your Vote Counts!” at 7:30 p.m. The program will feature representatives from both the Clinton and Trump campaigns who will join in a moderated discussion designed to provide thoughtful perspective and encourage civic participation. The discussion will be moderated by longtime Local 12 News host Dan Hurley. Learn the issues and engage in dialogue to help you make an informed vote on November 8. This is your chance to hear from both sides so you can cast your vote with confidence.

Then, join us for "Counting Your Votes," following the election, to meet our newly elected officials and break down our election results.

Laura Rosenberger is Foreign Policy Advisor for Hillary for America, where she coordinates development of the campaign’s national security policies, messaging, and strategy. Ms. Rosenberger will represent the Clinton-Kaine campaign. Prior to joining the campaign, she served for over a decade in a range of foreign policy and national security positions at the State Department and the White House’s National Security Council (NSC). Most recently, she served as Chief of Staff to Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken and as then-Deputy National Security Advisor Blinken’s Senior Advisor, advising him on the full range of national security policy.

David Peyman, senior advisor and national director for Jewish Affairs and Outreach for the Trump-Pence Campaign, will serve as the surrogate for the Trump campaign. Mr. Peyman started his career as an attorney at the international law firm of Skadden Arps. Later he became a federal prosecutor and served as a California Deputy Attorney General. Mr. Peyman was senior economic sanctions and policy advisor to United Against Nuclear Iran, a nonpartisan advocacy group founded by Ambassadors Dennis Ross and Richard Holbrook and former CIA Director R James Woolsey.
