Part of the 2016 -2017 Lichter Lecture Series, To Make a Long Story....: Messaging the Medium in Jewish Culture, which will be considering the impact of multiple platforms currently available for storytelling on the long tradition of Jewish narratives. Dr. Rubenstein is Professor of Hebrew and Judaic Studies and Skirball Professor of Talmud and Rabbinics at New York University. In numerous cutting-edge articles and books such as "Talmudic Stories: Narrative Art, Composition and Culture," he shows how even the most imaginative stories from the Midrash and Talmud are integral to understanding the history of the Jewish People.
