Mishkan HaNefesh: Exploring our New High Holy Day Machzor
Join the Rockdale Temple community on Selichot as we explore the themes of our High Holy Days with a look at the study texts, poetry, and contemporary writings in the new Reform Movement machzor. Mishkan HaNefesh, “Sanctuary of the Soul,” is named to suggest that each person’s spiritual quest happens within the holy space of the community. Our congregation is invited to once again enter that holy space as we welcome the arrival of the High Holy Day season with sacred study. As we delve into the pages of Mishkan HaNefesh, we will encounter creative readings, alternative prayers, counter-texts, meditations, spiritual studies, and historical commentaries. Together, we will engage with tradition and innovation as we prepare for the Days of Awe.
