In the aftermath of the Paris attacks, we are all asking questions about how and why this could have happened.

One of the world's foremost scholars on Jewish-Muslim relations in France, Professor Ethan Katz will lead a conversation on the current events in historical context. What is here we have seen before? What is new? What conclusions can we draw?

Professor Ethan Katz is in the history department at the University of Cincinnati. His forthcoming book, The Burdens of Brotherhood: Jews and Muslims from North Africa to France, is being published this year by Harvard University Press.

The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), and the Mayerson JCC have collaborated to create this event. Please RSVP here by Sunday, January 25.
