Join us for a film screening and discussion with author and social activist Rabbi Philip Posner, producer and screenwriter of This Freedom Rider: Welcome to My Prison Cell. Rabbi Phil Posner was a Freedom Rider in 1961. Upon his arrival in Jackson, Mississippi, he and his fellow Freedom Riders were arrested and sent to Mississippi's notorious Parchman State Penitentiary.

Join us as we explore this episode from our past through the lens of a brand new documentary film that examines Rabbi Posner's story. After viewing the 35-minute film, Dr. Gary P. Zola, Executive Director of the AJA, will engage in dialogue with Rabbi Posner about his experiences during that tumultuous time in our nation's history. Participants will also have an opportunity to see some of the AJA's remarkable holdings that document the history of Jewish Freedom Riders.
