Cincinnati at FedPro: Leading, Learning, Bringing It Home

In Phoenix, our Jewish Federation of Cincinnati team showed up at the Jewish Federation of North America’s (JFNA) FedPro gathering to learn from our peers across the continent and share what is working here at home. We joined more than 1,000 people from 141 Federations to gain insights on what is working in other cities, to better serve our own community. We also shared what we are doing right.

Lindsey Wade, our Chief Operating Officer, served on two panels. One focused on turning strategy into community impact. The other explored the state of the nonprofit workforce. Her takeaway connected both: plans succeed when people can see themselves in them, and when leaders listen to their staff and adapt to the needs of both the individual and the organization.

Charles Wright, Director of Community Planning, walked peers through our planning process and how collaboration across agencies is shaping what comes next.

Lisa Hacker, Director of Philanthropic Planning, shared how we are inspiring new generations of donors and building a culture of giving that lasts.

FedPro also reinforced something we practice regularly. When all of Federation works side by side, we can move from ideas to storytelling to meaningful engagement faster and more effectively. This teamwork supports those most in need and strengthens our partners who make a healthy and vibrant Jewish life possible.

As JFNA President and CEO Eric Fingerhut said, “We believe that excellent Jewish Federations are essential to the continued flourishing of the Jewish people in North America.” We are bringing these insights home, so together, as one, we keep Jewish Cincinnati safe, connected, and thriving.
