Dear Friends,

"As part of the Planning & Allocations Committee, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with over 50 dedicated volunteers to carefully evaluate and support the programs that keep our community strong and healthy." —Don Shuller, VP of Planning & Allocations

Don Shuller’s words remind me of what makes our community so special: a commitment to coming together, thoughtfully and purposefully, to support one another. At a time when we face many challenges, I hope his reflection inspires us to continue building the connections that make Jewish Cincinnati strong. Like you, I take immense pride in our community’s strength as we address pressing challenges: rising antisemitism, a youth mental health crisis, growing needs among aging adults, enhanced security, and trusted Israel education. Meeting these challenges requires bold action and collaboration to ensure Jewish Cincinnati remains vibrant for generations.

These challenges require thoughtful action and careful stewardship. Every dollar given is carefully stewarded. Over the last five years, an average of 87 cents of every dollar has gone directly to community-benefiting programs. Our four-star Charity Navigator rating reflects this commitment to excellence. Your support powers a network of programs, services, and events impacting lives locally, nationally, and globally—fostering connection at every life stage:

This is just a small sampling of how your gift improves lives. The Planning & Allocations Committee is at the center of these efforts, thoughtfully guiding investments to meet our community’s greatest needs.

Last week, Jewish Federations of North America’s (JFNA) Jessica Mehlman, Associate Vice President for Impact and Planning, visited Cincinnati to share insights from our Community Pulse survey. Together, we explored key findings and how focusing on outcomes and collaboration can strengthen relationships between funders and agencies. As one P&A Committee member noted, this is a long-awaited opportunity to align funding with measurable impact, fostering trust and lasting change.

This approach reflects our commitment to continuous learning and improvement. By aligning insights, resources, and priorities, we ensure every dollar raised fuels innovation, collaboration, and meaningful change in the lives of those we serve.

Make Your Impact Today.

Philanthropy, rooted in the love of humanity, reflects the compassion, connection, and generosity that strengthen our community. Your support connects individuals to vital programs, empowers resilience, and ensures a vibrant Jewish future for generations to come.

Thank you for being an essential part of this journey. Together, we will build a strong, connected Jewish future.

Shabbat Shalom,

Danielle V. Minson
