Hope isn’t given—it’s woven, one relationship at a time.
When I visited Israel with 15 other community leaders, we sat alongside children—kids who have endured unimaginable trauma—and together, we built dream catchers. At first, they hesitated, their hands hovering over the strings, unsure of where to begin. But as they worked beside their Youth Futures mentors, something changed. Smiles grew, voices got louder, and trust began to take shape—one knot at a time.
That moment was just a glimpse into the life-changing impact of Youth Futures.
The Jerusalem Post recently highlighted this work, showcasing how the program, run by the Jewish Agency for Israel, is now expanding to meet the urgent needs of Israel’s most vulnerable children. This expansion is happening because of you—because of our community’s commitment to ensuring these children have the support they need to heal and thrive.
I received an email from the Jewish Agency for Israel, sharing their deep appreciation:
"This article is just one way of expressing our gratitude for allowing Youth Futures to expand to reach so many vulnerable children and families. We are so proud of what this program has accomplished and will continue to accomplish thanks to your generous support."
Since October 7, thousands of children have been uprooted, displaced, and left to navigate profound trauma. In this moment of crisis, mentorship isn’t just important—it’s essential. Through Youth Futures, children from Jewish, Arab, Druze, and other backgrounds are paired with mentors who help them process trauma, regain stability, and rediscover hope for the future.
A shared society isn’t built overnight, and it isn’t built alone. It’s woven together—one mentor, one child, one family at a time.
