How the Jewish Federation is Here For You

We are thinking of you during these unprecedented and frightening times. As you know, since 1896, the Jewish Federation has been here to meet critical needs and keep our community safe and secure.

In these early days, here’s how we are helping so far:

  • We are accelerating our next funding allocation to community agencies, including to Jewish Family Service, the Mayerson JCC, and JVS Career Services, so they can continue to serve the most vulnerable among us. In addition, we are looking into emergency funding for our partner agencies.

  • We will be launching a “COVID-19 Hotline,” where people can call to let us know if they could use help with food, counseling, job services, home care for older adults, or could just use a friendly phone call. We are here to help. (JFS professionals will provide information and referrals to organizations that can help.)
  • Virtual Community Event Calendar: While we can’t gather in person right now, here are creative opportunities to connect virtually with others in Jewish Cincinnati as well as ideas for families.

The Jewish Federation is also doing everything we can to help our community increase social distance during this critical period of trying to flatten the curve of new COVID-19 cases. We are still conducting meetings, but taking it virtual!

  • Follow us on Social Media: The fastest way to keep you updated on community news, virtual events, and useful tips is through our Facebook and Instagram pages. Follow us to stay in the loop!

For centuries, Jews have weathered crises by taking care of each other. This one is no different. We promise to redeploy all of our resources to help. Please let us know what you need. And stay safe and healthy.
