With the recovery of Police Staff Sgt. Ran Gvili, the last Israeli hostage has been brought home to his family. For the first time since 2014, no Israeli citizens are believed to be held hostage in Gaza.

We hold Ran’s loved ones close as they begin a new chapter, one shaped by grief, love, and healing. He was one of the first hostages taken on October 7th and was the last to return. Ran died protecting others. His courage and sacrifice will be remembered as a blessing.

“Our pride is much much stronger than our pain,” Ran’s mother said in a powerful statement.

We express deep gratitude to all who worked tirelessly to bring each of the 251 hostages home. This moment marks a measure of closure, even as we continue to mourn and honor those we have lost.
